Categories of solar lenses
It is important not to confuse the glass category and its UV protection index.
The latter indicates the capacity of the glass to cut UV A and B, with us the index of all our glasses is 100%.
The category itself concerns the light transmission rate, but the UV protection index does not change depending on the category.

Category 0
These are the clearest lenses available, transparent; they let 100% of the light through.
They are recommended for indoor or outdoor sports in bad weather, at dawn or dusk.
It is often the lowest category of photochromic lenses.

Category 1
Perfect for overcast weather, rain, snow, fog and low light conditions such as in the forest.

Category 2
Slightly darker than category 1 lenses.
They are suitable for overcast weather and low light.
This is a category of lenses suitable for all weathers.

Category 3
These are the most common lenses on the market.
Dark enough for even prolonged exposure to the sun, but also light enough for everyday use, such as at the beach, in the city, at the seaside or in the mid-mountains.

Category 4
These are the darkest lenses on the market.
A light filtration capacity greater than 90%.
They are reserved for environments where the light is strongest, such as high mountains.
It is forbidden to drive with such dark glasses.
